Dannielle has been involved in the Australian publishing industry for over 20 years – first as a copywriter and then as an editor, project manager, proofreader and author.
She has worked on more than 100 non-fiction books, and has written about subjects as varied as vampires and knights. However, her first love has always been children’s literature. Some of the anthologies for which she is credited as a contributor include The Creative Kids Tales Story Collection 2 (Creative Kids Tales, 2019), A Christmas Cornucopia (Christmas Press, 2019) and It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas (Lilly Pilly Publishing, 2018).
In 2020, her kids’ poem ‘Hatastrophe’ will be published in the Harry Potter-inspired Fire Burn, Cauldron Bubble: Magical Poems Chosen by Paul Cookson (Bloomsbury UK).
Dannielle is listed as an Emerging Author on the Creative Kids Tales website, and is a moderator for the Creative Kids Tales Network Facebook page. In addition, she is a children’s book reviewer for the Buzz Words website. Her children’s short story entitled ‘The Tree’ was short-listed for the ZineWest 2018 awards, and her pitch for I Don’t Want to be a Pirate! was long-listed for the 2018 Just Write For Kids Pitch It! Competition.
